Our story
Local people, local waters
Tirta means water. Our guides grew up along the rivers, lakes and coastline of West Java, fishing from wooden jukung, wading the reef flats at low tide and cooking the catch over driftwood fires on the beach.
We started Tirta Adventures to share that way of spending time outdoors with visitors: simple, unhurried and close to the people who live here. We work with local boat owners, village families and park rangers, so your trip supports the communities you visit.
Keep it simple
Good food, reliable gear, a warm fire and time on the water. No frills, nothing you don't need.
Keep it small
Small groups mean more time with your guide and less impact on the places we visit.
Keep it safe
We watch the weather and the sea closely, carry safety equipment and will always change plans if conditions call for it.
Leave it better
We pack out what we bring, respect the rules of protected areas and take only the fish we plan to eat.
